Following Ross Erickson's lay-in with 5:35 left, the Boxers went on a 7-0 run to close the half. Mosley opened the run with his jumper on the team's next possession and Bowser closed it out with his tip-in of Mosley's missed lay-in with 2:14 to go, allowing the Boxers a 32-23 halftime lead.
The possibility of being left behind for the NWC playoffs fired up the Pioneers coming out of the locker room as they opened the second half on a 12-4 tear, closing to within 36-35 on Bradley Carter's lay-in at the 14:59 mark. L&C took their first lead of the game a minute later on P.J. Taylor's three-pointer, the first of five lead changes over the next three minutes.
