"This is a great win for our group in a tough, tough place to play," Rose told Eric Stock of WJBC Radio in a postgame interview. "We want to make sure we're playing our best basketball heading into the conference tournament now that we know we are in."

With a 33-31 lead at halftime, the Titans exploded out of the locker room in the second half and scored 19 of the first 26 points to grab a 52-38 lead with 10:19 to play in the game.

Illinois Wesleyan led by as many as 16 at 56-40 with 8:07 to go in the contest before Carthage's 19-5 run closed the Red Men to within two at 61-59 with 30 seconds left.
