The Colonels, who fell to the Tigers 85-78 back on January 7, trailed 2-0 after Sewanee's Tyler Brown made a lay-up 18 seconds into the game. Centre answered with nine straight points and never looked back.

Trailing 21-13 with 6:40 to go in the opening half, Sewanee used a 9-2 run to cut the lead to one, but senior center James Melloan (Louisville, Ky.) scored four consecutive lay-ups to close the half and give the Colonels a 31-22 lead at the intermission.

The lead grew to 12 points when senior Greg Ross (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored 1:32 seconds in the second half, but the Tigers fought back with 12 of the next 14 points to make it a 38-36 game.

Sophomore forward Donovan Whiteside (Knoxville, Tenn.) then hit two lay-ups and a free throw to make it a seven-point game with just under 11 minutes to play.

Sewanee cut the lead to four points (46-42) with 10:05 on the clock, but would get no closer as sophomore Collin Lopez (Louisville, Ky.) scored nine of his game-high 16 points during a 17-4 run by the Colonels to extend the lead to 63-46 en-route to the 15-point victory.

Ross had another strong performance for Centre with 11 points and eight rebounds. The Colonels got a big lift from it's bench out-scoring the Tigers 24-8, including 13 points and five rebounds from Whiteside.
