SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's basketball displayed a balanced offensive effort in today's wire-to-wire 76-63 win at Marywood University.  The victory improves the Cavaliers to 15-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) and 21-1 overall.

The last time the Blue and White stepped into Marywood's Insalaco Arena they suffered one of their two conference losses last year, a 57-55 defeat. The Cavaliers were determined not to suffer a similar fate in this visit.

The #7 Cavaliers jumped out to an early 9-2 lead as juniors A.J. Williams (Wilmington, Del./ St. Elizabeth) and Goran Dulac (Levittown, Pa./ Pennsbury) knocked down the game's opening shots.  The Pacers cut Cabrini's lead down to two points before the Blue and White took control of the game.  A three-pointer from senior John Boyd (Trappe, Pa./ Perkiomen Valley) sent the Cavaliers on a 10-2 run to extend their lead to 19-9 midway through the opening half.

Freshman Aaron Walton-Moss' (Camden, N.J./ Camden) lay-up capped a Cabrini 13-4 run, pushing the lead to 33-19 with just under four minutes before halftime.  By the break, the Cavaliers' lead stood at 36-23.  The Blue and White shot 50% from the floor and maintained a 16-8 advantage in points in the paint.

Cabrini continued to control the game's tempo in the second half.  Boyd and Williams' back-to-back three pointers pushed the Cavaliers' lead out to 20 points with 13:40 on the clock. Minutes later, senior Cory Lemons (Wilmington, Del./ Glasgow) found junior Abraham Bah (Philadelphia, Pa./ Freire Charter) for a lay-up and a 24-point advantage.

The Cavaliers shot 57.7% from the floor after the break, including 5-10 from beyond the three-point arc.  Cabrini also recorded 12 assists on its 15 second half field goals.

Six Cavaliers tallied at least seven points in the win, led by Walton-Moss' 14 points in 22 minutes off the bench.  The rookie was 7-7 from the floor and also recorded 5 rebounds and three steals.  Lemons narrowly missed a triple double with 11 points, eight rebound and nine assists.

Williams finished with 11 points and four rebounds, while sophomore Fran Rafferty (King of Prussia, Pa./ Upper Merion) chipped in with 10 points and blocked two shots.

Marywood's (8-13, 7-7 CSAC) Brent Keyes led four Pacers in double figures with 18 points.

Cabrini will try to avenge last year's other CSAC loss on Wednesday when the Cavaliers travel to Aston, Pa. to face Neumann University.  Tip is scheduled for approximately 8:00 p.m., following the conclusion of the women's game.
