CENTER VALLEY (PA) – DeSales University shot 59.2 percent from the field as the host Bulldogs pulled away to a 75-47 victory Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

DeSales improved to 12-8 overall and 5-4 in the Freedom while the Aggies, who were coming off their thrilling 95-85 overtime victory over conference front-runner Wilkes University saw their marks drop to 4-16 and 1-8.

Saturday's win over Wilkes saw Delaware Valley sophomore guard Nathan Bollinger set a school record with 50 points, including 18 over the final 60 seconds of regulation and the five-minute overtime. The team couldn't match that point total on Wednesday as it managed just 19 field goals in 52 attempts (36.2%).

Bollinger, the reigning Freedom Conference and ECAC South Region Player of the Week scored five points in the opening four-plus minutes on Wednesday, but he managed just seven points the rest of the way. He finished 5-for-14 from the field (1-for-3 from 3-point land) and 1-for-2 from the foul line in 36 minutes of action.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs hit 29 of 49 shots from the field, including a 6-for-13 effort from beyond the arc. The tandem of Kyle Hash and Brett Moyer led the way as they went a combined 11-for-12 from the field and 8-for-9 from the foul line as they each finished with 16 points.

DeSales used a 10-2, first-half run to build a 10-point advantage. Delaware Valley came back with five straight, including three by Bollinger, to make it 29-24 with 2:13 remaining. However, the Bulldogs got the final three of the half for an eight-point lead. The second half was all DeSales as it opened the stanza with a 12-4 spurt, including seven by Hash and three from Moyer, and never looked back. 

Jeremy Beckett joined Beckett in double figures for Delaware Valley as the junior finished with 10 points. Cam Lee added six points and five rebounds in the loss.
