"We played better last Saturday against North Central but lost that game" said Carthage coach Bosko Djurickovic. "Tonight, we persevered. Our defensive pressure was non-existent in the first half, but we played better in the second half. Our pressure finally got to them in the second half. Emanuel Crosby was a unique player for North Park tonight. He'd get a shot blocked, then he would pick the ball up off the floor and lay it in. You have to give him credit. North Park is dangerous team with some good players. We had the ball in the right hands way more often than not, and Donte Logan is getting better and better. He has a chance to lead this time somewhere down the line. For Luke Johnson, it has not been as seamless a transition as he would like, but his best basketball is far ahead of him. Tonight, he was stellar."
The Red Men travel to Decatur, Ill., on Saturday, Feb. 4 to take on conference-opponent Millikin University (1-19, 0-9 CCIW) in a 4 p.m. game at the Griswold Center.
