LONGVIEW, TX - The Mississippi College men's basketball team snapped a five-game losing streak with a 78-61 win over LeTourneau on Thursday night at Solheim Arena.
The Choctaws shot a season-high 65% (32-49) from the floor and went 7-16 from the three-point line.
MC took a 43-34 halftime lead and led by as many as 19 points in the second half.
Senior Trevon Malone led the Choctaws with 28 points on 12-17 shooting from the floor. Junior Adam Smith was a perfect 6-6 from the field, scoring 12 points.
Seniors Chad Jones and Marlon Ester each had 11 points, while junior Jesse Taylor led the team with nine rebounds.
Deitrich Williams led LeTourneau with 15 points, while Cristian Driver and Kendrae Carter each finished in double-figures with 13 and 11, respectively.
The Choctaws will move on to face Texas-Tyler on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
