PAXTON, MASS. – A busy three-game week opened for Norwich University with a 79-46 Great Northeast Athletic Conference loss at Anna Maria Jan. 10.

The Cadets, dipping to 2-8 overall and 1-3 in the league, kept things close with the host Amcats (5-6, 4-1 GNAC) in the first and trailed just 39-30 at the break. However, NU struggled from the field in the second half, hitting on just six-of-24 field goal attempts, as AMC scored 40 of the 56 points in the frame.

Sophomore guard Tommy McDonald (Groton, Mass.), registering double figures for the fifth consecutive contest, led the way with 11 points and six assists. Freshman forward Evan Tullar (Chelsea, Vt.) was just short of a double-double with eight points and rebounds to go along with three blocked shots, and sophomore guard Alex Myers (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) finished with eight points.

Norwich returns to action Thursday, Jan. 12. Suffolk College of Massachusetts visits Andrews Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
