IMMACULATA, Pa. - The #14 Cabrini College men's basketball team faced a difficult task today, but the Cavaliers were up to the task.  The Blue and White traveled down Route 30 to Immaculata University and returned with an 87-81 win to remain unbeaten in CSAC play at 6-0 and improving to 11-1 on the season.

Preseason All-American senior Cory Lemons (Wilmington, Del./ Glasgow) paced the Cavaliers with 19 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals while playing all 40 minutes.  Juniors A.J. Williams (Wilmington, Del./ St. Elizabeth) and Jeremy Knowles (Antioch, Cal./ Pittsburg) added 15 points each. 

The Cavaliers got dominant performances from their bigs on the block.  Junior forward Goran Dulac (Levittown, Pa./ Pennsbury) recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Sophomore Jon Miller (Westville, N.J./ Gateway Regional) tallied a career high 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the win.

Though the Cavaliers took an early lead but could not find the groove to distance themselves from the Mighty Macs.  Leading by three points at the 7:16 mark, the Cavaliers went on a 12-4 run culminating in a steal and break-away dunk by freshman guard Brima Rogers (Boston, Mass./ Concord Carlisle), extending the Blue and White's advantage to 11 points.

On the strength of 12 second chance points and converting eight Immaculata turnovers into 11 points, Cabrini took a 45-33 advantage into the locker room.

Dulac opened the second half with a lay-up before the Mighty Macs went on an 11-0 run, shrinking Cabrini's lead to just three points. Over the next three minutes, Lemons took control of the game.  The senior sent the Cavaliers on a 14-4 spurt, scoring four points and recording three assists, pushing the Cabrini lead back to 13 points.

Over the game's final minutes, the Mighty Macs tried to mount a comeback, but the Cavaliers connected on 12 of 14 attempts from the free throw line, including 3-4 by Miller and 4-4 by Williams, to seal the win.

Cabrini held a 42-28 advantage in points in the paint and 22-7 in second chance points.

Guard Rob Siter led the Mighty Macs with 29 points.

The Blue and White will return to the Nerney Field house on Monday to face Centenary College at 6:00 p.m.
