New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's basketball team fell to non-conference rival Medgar Evers College tonight, 93-88 on the road. The Roadrunners now stand at 6-3 overall while the Cougars improve to 7-4.

Medgar Evers jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Ramapo cut the lead to two, 11-9 on a jumper by Will Sanborn with 14:55 on the clock. The Cougars led by as many as 18 late in the half before Ramapo cut it two 12, 45-33, on back to back made foul shots by Garret Thiel and Stephon Treadwell.

In the second half, Ramapo went on a 7-1 run to open the half to cut the lead in half, 46-40 with 17:25 on the clock with two foul shots by Sanborn before Medgar Evers stretched their lead back to ten with 7:57 left in the game. The Roadrunners would come within five multiple times down the stretch the latest coming with eight seconds left as Thiel made a layup and converted on his foul shot close the gap at three, 91-88 before Medgar Evers converted on a two shot foul with three second left for the 93-88 win.

Thiel led both teams with a 29 point performance as he was 10-15 from the field and 9-10 from the charity stripe while he grabbed a team high 12 rebounds for a double-double. Sanborn posted 19 points of his own while grabbing five rebounds, three steals and two assists. Treadwell added 12 points, eight rebounds, one block and two steals while going 6-8 from the charity stripe. Demetrius Boards added ten points, four rebounds in the game.

The Roadrunners return to action on Monday when they travel to St. Joseph's College for a 7:30pm game.
