AUSTIN, Texas (December 30, 2011) - Coming into Friday's game at the Concordia-Texas Holiday Classic, host Concordia was averaging 95.9 points per contest, third-best in all of the NCAA Division III.

UW-Stout (4-8) came into the game with the Tornadoes riding a seven game losing streak, but it was the Blue Devils that took the wind out of Concordia with a 75-71 overtime win. The 71 points was the second lowest offensive output this season for Concordia (6-4), Over the previous five games, the Tornadoes had been averaging 102.6 points per contest.

Alex Oman (So, Lake Elmo, Minn) scored a collegiate-high 21 points to lead Stout in the win, tallying four of Stout's nine overtime points and adding an assist to a Jay Higgins' (So, Maple Grove, Minn) overtime bucket.

The game was close throughout the contest, with Stout holding the biggest point spread of the game on a 37-29 lead about a minute before halftime. Stout held a 37-31 halftime lead, but Concordia came back to tie the game at 37-37 two minutes into the second half.

The score was tied 13 times in the game, eight times in the second half, the final time when Oman hit a jumper with 48 seconds remaining in regulation for a 66-66 score.

Aaron Jenny (So, New London, Minn) gave Stout the lead 30 seconds into overtime and Oman stretched the lead to 70-66 at 3:06. Concordia got as close as 71-70 with 45 seconds left, but Higgins' bucket and a pair of free throws by Oman sealed the win.

Josh Kosloske (So, Oakfield) set personal bests in both points (12) and rebounds (11) in notching his first Blue Devil double-double. Higgins also set a collegiate-best with 13 rebounds as the Blue Devils dominated the boards, 64-43. Tim Butina (So, Woodbury, Minn) had nine rebounds, while Erik Olson (Jr, Buffalo, Minn) had eight rebounds, nine points and five assists.

The Tornadoes' Nick Haynes matched Oman with 21 points. Kenny Williams added 12 points and Darius Anderson and Josh Johnson each scored 10 points.

Stout returns to conference action Wednesday, Jan. 4 when they travel to UW-Eau Claire.
