Ursinus drops finale at D3Hoops.com Classic to Skidmore, 67-46

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Ursinus College men's basketball team ended their two-game run at the 2011 D3Hoops.com Classic by dropping a 67-46 decision to Skidmore at the South Point Hotel and Casino Arena Friday afternoon.

Ursinus (3-9) was led by ten points from sophomore guard Pat Vasturia while junior forward Jon Ward added in nine points.  Junior guard Matt Donahue and sophomore guard Jesse Krasna added in six each.

Skidmore (6-2), coached by Ursinus alum Joe Burke, got 22 points from senior guard Terron Victoria and 16 points from senior guard John Mantas.

Ursinus shot 17-for-47 from the field in the game, and trailed by as much as 21 in the second half. The Bears led for the last time at 11-10 with 11:29 left in the first on a three-pointer by junior forward Kevin Janowski.

Ursinus heads back east and right into Centennial Conference play with a game on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at home against Johns Hopkins.
