MEQUON, Wis. – A first half sharpshooting display by Luke Doedens propelled the Concordia University Wisconsin men's basketball team to a 103-51 non-conference victory over Silver Lake College on Thursday night inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

The Falcons offense started slowly – not scoring their first field goal until 2:49 had elapsed – before the flood gates opened with a 24-7 run over a six-plus minute span. During the run Luke Doedens knocked down four-straight 3-pointers before missing once, and then nailing two more. It was the second time this season the guard has made seven triples.

CUW (5-1) kept the gas pedal to the floor and took a 25-point lead, 49-24, into the locker room at halftime. After the intermission the Falcon bench took over and controlled the second half, pushing the lead to as many as 54 points, and scored 58 points to the victory.

Luke Doedens (Cedarburg, Wis.) led all players with 25 points on 7-of-10 shooting from downtown. Schneider (New Holstein, Wis.) finished with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Falcons. Senior Nick Doedens (Germantown, Wis.), senior Zach Neumann (Colgate, Wis.) and freshman Ben Brooke (Viroqua, Wis.) each scored 10 points. Senior Matt Paluchniak (Oostburg, Wis.) also assisted on five field goals.
