WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Using 36 Hunter turnovers to score 37 points, the Lycoming College men's basketball team stayed aggressive en route to a 93-68 rout of Hunter College to wrap up school's 10th perfect run at the Tip-Off Classic on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Lamade Gym.

"One of our keys is that we have to run the entire game," Lycoming head coach Guy Rancourt, who became the fifth coach in school history to win 50 games with the victory, said. "We have to put pressure on all the time. Off the game against Staten Island, we were sluggish and that was an enormous concern for us. We had to make some substitutions when we put the second group in and they gave us a spark and then the first group came back in and just did a fantastic job for us."

Sophomore Kevin Anthony (Columbus, Ohio/Bridgton Academy) earned the Tip-Off Classic's MVP award after averaging a team-high 20.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steal per game to lead the Warriors to a 90-86 overtime win over Staten Island on Friday before the win over Hunter.  Junior Jerald Williams (Riverdale, Md./Bladensburg) also took All-Tournament honors after averaging 7.0 points, 11.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game.

The Warriors (3-0 overall) scored 30 points on the fastbreak against the Hawks (1-2 overall), as Anthony posted 17 points, four rebounds and two blocks and Williams finished with seven points, nine rebounds and five steals. Junior Anthony Martin(Detroit, Mich./Christ the King) led the Warriors with 21 points, three rebounds and two steals and both junior Mike Bradley(Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) added 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Junior Ihsaan Davis (Jamaica, N.Y./Christ the King) added 12 points and five rebounds and sophomore Michael Rudy(Danville, Pa./Danville Area) added 11 points and four steals to round out the team's five players in double figures.

The teams battled to a tie at 15 in the first seven and a half minutes of the first half before the Warriors ignited on a 23-9 run over the next four minutes, scoring three buckets on the break during the run.  From there, the Warriors continued to expand the lead, taking a 21-point lead at 54-33 into the second half. In the second half, the Hawks drew within 17 points twice, but could get no closer, as the Warriors scored 14 more points on the fastbreak.

All 16 players on the Warriors saw time on the floor for the Warriors, with 12 factoring into the scoring column. Williams led the team with 24 minutes of action.

Mark Courtien led the Hawks with 22 points, four 3-pointers and four steals. Pangiot Koutsoloukas added 14 points and 13 rebounds and Jeffrey Daza added four assists.

The Warriors wrap up a three-game homestand on Tuesday, Nov. 22, when rival Susquehanna heads to Lamade Gym for a 7 p.m. game.
