Adam Desgain scored a game-high 24 points to lead three Yellow Jackets in double-figures, pacing Randolph-Macon to a 90-87 victory over Lynchburg on Wednesday night in Ashland.

Desgain connected on 7-of-15 shots from the field, including four three-point attempts.    He was joined in double-digits by Andre Simon who posted 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds.  Lamar Giggetts also added 12 points for R-MC in the win.

R-MC (6-2 / 2-1 ODAC) made 30-of-70 shots on the night and assisted on 17 of their made baskets.  The Jackets won the rebound battle behind Simon's 10 boards and five rebounds each from Desgain and Dylan Cole.

Randolph-Macon snapped the Hornets five game win streak as LC falls to 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.  LC had four players in double-figures led by Xavier Parham's 16 points.   Austin Chillemi had 14 points, while Nate Campbell and Manny Hernandez had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

LC came out strong scoring the first nine points of the contest.  R-MC battled back going on a 20-7 run, taking a four point lead (22-18) on a jumper by Connor Sullivan with 8:24 to go in the half.   The teams would exchange leads over the next few minutes before R-MC closed the half on an 11-2 run, taking a 40-32 advantage into the locker room on the strength of a three-pointer by Desgain in the final minute.

The Yellow Jackets scored 15 of the first 22 points of the second stanza, taking a 56-39 lead with 15:25 to play after a free-throw by Simon.

The Hornets fought back and were able to make it 68-63 with just over nine minutes to play.   The Jackets responded with a 15-5 run that was capped by a Simon bucket with six minutes to go, putting R-MC in front 83-68.

The Hornets would not go away, putting together a 17-4 run of their own, cutting the R-MC lead to 87-85 on a basket by Chillemi with 54 seconds to go.

That would be as close as LC would get as Simon converted a layup on the other end to give R-MC some breathing room at 89-85.

Randolph-Macon will be back in action on Saturday when it travels to Guilford for a 3:00 p.m. ODAC contest.
