RADNOR, Pa. – The No. 14 Cabrini Cavaliers men's basketball team remained undefeated on the early season after tonight's 87-77 home victory over Neumann University in the Colonial States Athletic Conference opener for both teams.  The Cavaliers are now 3-0 on the year, 1-0 in conference play.

Cabrini's offense was in gear early, as the Cavalier jumped out to an early 11-3 lead just four minutes into the game.  Five minutes later, the Blue and White would extend its advantage to 11 points after freshman Brima Rogers found junior Jeremy Knowles for a lay-up.

A Neumann 16-4 run gave the Knights a brief 30-29 lead.  Cabrini responded, as Rogers drained a three-pointer to give the Cavaliers a 38-34 lead heading into halftime.

The Knights cut Cabrini's lead to three points five minutes into the second half, but that was as close as they would get.  By the 12 minute mark, Cabrini pushed its lead back to 12 points after senior John Boyd's three-pointer.  Minutes later, Boyd's lay-up extended Cabrini's lead to 13 points.

A Neumann foul and subsequent technical fouls allowed Cabrini to knock down four consecutive free throws, again establishing a 13 point advantage with just three minutes to play.

Boyd led four Cavaliers in double-figure scoring with a season high 25 points on 8-14 shooting, including 5—9 in three-pointers.  Boyd also grabbed seven rebounds.  Preseason All-American senior Cory Lemons recorded 21 points, seven boards, and nine assists.

Junior guard A.J. Williams added 12 points, while Knowles tallied 10 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.   Rogers finished with seven points and a game-high four steals.

The Cavaliers will hit the road on Wednesday, traveling to Langhorne, Pa. to face Philadelphia Biblical University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
