Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team fell to visiting Frostburg State 81-73 in its Capital Athletic Conference opener on Wednesday night.  The Saints drop to 2-4 overall on the season.

Four Saints scored in double-figures, led by Jesse Konadu with 19 points off the bench.  Antonio Rouse added 16, Reed Scott had 12 and Mac Kennedy chipped in 10 as a reserve.  Scott nearly notched a double-double with a game-high nine rebounds.

Forcing multiple ties over the first five minutes of the game, the Bobcats (2-3, 1-0 CAC) ran out to an 18-8 lead before the Saints rallied back with a 9-0 run on a Rouse layup to make it 18-17 at the 10:23 mark.  Frostburg State responded with a 12-3 run of its own to lead 30-20 with five minutes to play in the frame before taking a 39-31 lead into the break.

Coming out of halftime, FSU would hold the Saints at bay by at least two possessions before a Scott jumper at the 8:15 mark pulled Marymount within three at 60-57.  Over the next five minutes, the Bobcats then outscored MU 13-5 to go up 73-62 and essentially put the game out of reach.

Troy Dockett led the Bobcats with 25 points while Maurice Williams added 22.  Bradley Nunn and DeSean Antoine both tallied 11 points while David Patrick chipped in 10.

Marymount returns to the hardwood as is travels to face York (Pa.) in CAC action on Saturday.
