NEW LONDON, N.H. – A 12-0 run late in the first half proved to be the difference for Colby-Sawyer in an 82-63 win over Norwich University Nov. 29.

Coach Paul Booth's Cadets (1-3) made life tough on their hosts in the early going, holding as large as a five-point edge. However CSC (2-3) broke away from a 26-26 tie at the 6:57 mark and didn't look back. NU got as close as five early in the second half but couldn't close the gap any farther.

Booth's squad received three double-figure scoring outputs from the tri-captain group of junior guards Josh Cabrera (Providence, R.I.) and Ryan Williams (Dallas, Texas) and senior forward Antonio Davis (Albany, N.Y.). Davis recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds and also dished out three assists. Williams tallied 10 points, and Cabrera ended with the team-high of 18 points due in part to four three-pointers. He also snagged eight rebounds.

Norwich returns to Andrews Gymnasium for the 2011 Ed Hockenbury Tournament Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3-4. The Maroon and Black take on Worcester State at 6 p.m. Saturday to begin the event.
