Thomas More Defeats Kent State-Tuscarawas 110-51 on First Day of Heidelberg Classic

(TIFFIN, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's basketball team defeated Kent State University-Tuscarawas, 110-51, today (Friday, November 18, 2011) on the first day of the Heidelberg University Alumni Classic inside Seiberling Gymnasium in Tiffin, Ohio.

With the win, the Saints improve to 2-0 and with the loss, the Golden Flashes fall to 0-6.

All 16 Saints that dressed in the game scored.  The Saints led by as many as 65 points when sophomore point guard Kevin Glenn (Louisville, Ky./Male) made a lay-up with 3:38 to play in the game.

Thomas More had three players reach double-figure scoring led by junior strong forward Phil Feinburg (Phoenix Ariz./Corona Del Sol), who had 15 points.  Joining Feinburg in double-figures was senior point guard Daniel Whelan (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier) with 14 and junior power forward Michael Rowan (Goshen, Ky./North Oldham) with 11.  Junior strong forward Ethan King (Maysville, Ky./Mason County) led the team on the boards with seven rebounds, while sophomore point guard D'Carlo Hayes (Louisville, Ky./Male) led the team in assists with five.

Thomas More returns to action tomorrow (Saturday, November 16) in Tiffin when it plays host Heidelberg at 4 p.m.
