Concordia-Moorhead shot 57%, including 8-for-19 from long range, and cruised to an 89-52 victory over Macalester at the Leonard Center.
The Cobbers move into a tie for sixth place in the MIAC standings at 7-8 and are 11-9 overall. John Fraase had 18 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, going 8-for-10 from the field to lead the way. Darrin Olmscheid added 16 points. Concordia received assists on 26 baskets.
Colin Jarvis (So., Madison, Wis. / West) and Lamont Diggs (Fy., Fridley, Minn.) tallied 10 points each to pace the Scots. Kyle Hamblett (Sr., Paris, France / American School of Paris) added nine points.
Concordia led 32-13 with 6:25 left in the first half. On the night, the Cobbers led 52-16 in points in the paint.
Macalester (2-17 overall / 2-12 MIAC) will look to bounce back from this defeat when it plays Saturday (Feb. 5) at St. Olaf. The Cobs play host to Bethel on Saturday.
