Rocky Mount, N.C. -- Daren Dexter had 14 points and 13 rebounds but Greensboro College lost at NC Wesleyan, 63-58, on Saturday.

The Pride dropped to 7-7 and 1-2 in the USA South. The Bishops improved to 11-5 and 3-0.

Wesleyan had its biggest lead of 12 points (57-45) with 3:53 left before The Pride made a late rally. GC then outscored the Bishops 10-2 and trailed 59-55 after an old-fashioned three-point play by T.J. Holman with 46 seconds left. Yet GC got no closer in the game.

Dexter was 5-17 from the field and made 4-6 free throws. GC had its poorest shooting performances of the season (30-percent/20-65). The home team was 24-67 from the field for 36-percent.

Damian Dixon added nine points for The Pride.

Matt Dougherty scored and game-high 16 points for NCWC. The Bishops led 37-27 at halftime.

GC will host Shenandoah next Saturday.
