LANCASTER, Pa. – Mike Baker scored a season-high 21 points and pulled down a career-high 16 boards as No. 13 Franklin & Marshall defeated Lancaster Bible 109-51 Thursday evening at the Mayser Center. The meeting was the first for the two local colleges. F&M improved to 9-2 while LBC fell to 4-9.
Baker is now 66 points away from 1,000. He passed Charlie Detz '95 for the tenth spot on F&M's all-time rebound list with 659.
Georgio Milligan set another career milestone, picking up his 400th career assist. Milligan became just the fourth player in Centennial Conference history to score 1,000 points and dish out 400 assists. He finished the game with 10 points and six assists.
Steve Tolliver turned in a career-high 18 points, shooting 3-for-4 from behind the arc and 5-for-6 from the line. James McNally netted 15 points and is now 57 away from becoming F&M's all-time leading scorer. Donnie Marsh '79 set the mark 32 years ago with 1,695.
Hayk Gyokchyan and Jon Salandra both chipped in 11 points. Salandra went 3-for-4 from the floor and 5-for-5 from the stripe.
Madison Warfel turned in a team-best 16 points for the Chargers. Andrew Risser added nine with 5-for-6 shooting from the line.
The Diplomats held a 44-22 advantage on the boards and shot 56.5% to the Chargers' 36%.
Coach Robinson is now nine victories away from becoming only the 13th coach in NCAA history to reach the 800-win plateau. He is also 11 games away from coaching in his 1,100th game during his 40 years at F&M
Franklin & Marshall returns to action on Saturday when the Diplomats host Swarthmore at 4 p.m.
