WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Four Lycoming College men's basketball players finished in double figures and sophomore Jerald Williams (Riverdale, Md./Bladensburg) contributed 10 assists and six steals, as the Warriors used 33 points off turnover and a season-high 30 fastbreak points to run to an 88-60 win over Penn State DuBois in the opening round of the Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament on Monday evening, Jan. 3, at Lamade Gym.

In the evening's second game, Delaware Valley downed Worcester State, 73-59.

The Warriors (9-3 overall) will move on to face Delaware Valley (5-4 overall) in the championship game of the tournament on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 4 p.m. Penn State DuBois (5-6 overall) will face Worcester State (1-10 overall) in the consolation game at 2 p.m.

Freshman Tyrone McFadden (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) scored a career-high 14 points to go with four rebounds to lead the Warriors and freshman Kevin Anthony (Atlanta, Ga./Bridgton Academy) also added 12 points and three rebounds. Sophomore Ihsaan Davis (Jamaica, N.Y./Christ the King) posted 11 points and three 3-pointers and senior Sebastian Sabella (Bayside, N.Y./Episcopal School) also notched 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Warriors scored the first eight points of the game and never looked back, as Davis and Anthony each hit treys to open the game. From there, the Warriors extended the lead to 27 points by halftime at 50-23, closing out the last nine minutes of the half with a 20-5 run. The Warriors shot a hefty 51 percent (19-for-37) in the half and scored 21 points while forcing 14 turnovers, led by four steals in the first half alone by Williams.

In the second half, the Warriors got the lead to 33 points while allowing the Lions within 25 points just twice, with both times coming in the final 2:30. Meanwhile, the bench was used extensively, as 14 of the 15 active Warriors factored into the scoring column in the game.

Williams scored seven points to go with his 10 assists, which moved him into a tie for sixth in career dimes in Lycoming's record book, tying Eric Anthony (2007-10) with 236. He also used his six steals to move into the school's career top 10, finishing the game eighth in school history with 118. Playing a career-high 15 minutes, sophomore John Ryan Wolff (Morrisville, Pa./Pennsbury) added two points and career-highs of seven assists and two assists.

Senior Will Kelly (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) posted nine points to finish the game with 903 in his career, becoming the 33rd player in school history to cross 900 with a first-half 3-pointer.

Freshman Justin Miller (Agawam, Mass./Bridgton Academy) posted six points and four rebounds, junior Mike Bradley (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) added four points and six rebounds and freshman Allen Kuiper (Milltown, N.Y./Spottswood) added four points and three rebounds in the frontcourt.

Jovan Brown led the Lions with 13 points, five rebounds and three steals. Mark Shannon posted four blocks and two steals and Josh Salter notched a game-high eight points to go with six points. Rich Walker added 11 points and Justin Alvarez notched four steals.
