Senior forward Austin Meier scored 15 points and grabbed ten rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year as the MSOE men's basketball knocked off Luther 56-49 Thursday night at the Kern Center. Meier also had four steals and two blocks. Junior guard Oren Bloom put in 12 points on 5-7 shooting from the field.
The Norse pulled within three with 1:42 left in the second half but the Raiders went 6-6 from the free throw line to seal the victory. Freshman guard John Cording knocked down four of those free throws and scored nine points in the game. Junior guard Rob Linzmeier contributed eight points off the bench. MSOE shot 6-12 from three-point range for the game.
The Raiders (9-3) head to Madison to face Edgewood Saturday, Jan. 8 at 4:15 p.m.
