Maroons Drop 65-50 Decision at Coe

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Alex Tatman scored a game-high 15 points to lead host Coe College to a 65-50 non-conference win over the University of Chicago men's basketball team Monday night.

Chicago took an early 11-4 lead, but Coe rallied to build a 31-28 edge following a first half that featured eight lead changes.

Coe (7-3) increased its advantage to double digits when Seth Light converted a three-point play with 13:09 left in the contest.

Chicago (3-7) closed to within six points (49-43) on a three-pointer from Matt Johnson at the 5:36 mark, but the Kohawks answered with a 14-2 run to put the game out of reach.

Johnson paced the Maroons, who closed out road non-conference play in 2010-11, with 14 points.
