ROME, Ga. ---- The Huntingdon College men's basketball team fell 74-63 against Berry College on Tuesday night in Georgia. The Hawks trailed by one-point, 26-25, at the half, but the Vikings jumped up by 18 points with 6:20 left in the game to secure the victory.

In the first half, Berry went up 5-0 before Huntingdon's Ephriam Hudson hit a three-pointer getting the Hawks on the board. The Vikings led by as much as 8 points in the first period, before the Hawks' went on an 8-0 run tying the game with 6:27 left in the half. With 1:01 to play in the first half, Adrian Williams' layup gave the Hawks' the lead, 24-23. Berry regained the lead with forty-nine seconds left in the half, 26-25.

Huntingdon trailed 31-25 in second half, before the Hawk's went on a 7-0 run and the lead by one point, 32-31. The teams exchanged the lead one more time each, before the Vikings' made its move on a 9-0 run, 42-34, with 12:19 left in the game.

After the run, Berry extended the lead up to 18 points with 5:46 on the clock, which was a deficit the Hawks could not comeback from in the second half.

Senior Ephriam Hudson paced the team with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Seniors Adrian Williams and Deshaun Williams added 15 and 14 points, respectively.

For the game, Berry held a 41-33 advantage on the glass. The Vikings' converted 43.5 percent of its shots, hitting 30-of-69, while Huntingdon finished 23-of-57 (40.4%).

Berry (5-2) was led by Stefan Woods with 15 points, followed by Tim Miles' 13 points in the win.

Huntingdon (3-5) travels to Birmingham, Ala. on Friday, Dec. 17, to participate in the Birmingham-Southern Classic against Methodist University (2-6). Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
