DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Tom Williams and Matt Johnson both turned in double-doubles as the University of Chicago defeated host Loras College 77-56 in non-conference men's basketball action Sunday afternoon.

Williams (pictured) finished the day with a career-high 24 points and 12 rebounds for his third double-double in as many games. He connected on all nine of his attempts from the field, six of which came from three-point distance.

Johnson tallied 16 points and handed out 10 assists -- the most by a Maroon this season. He buried three of seven 3-point field goal attempts to extend his multiple-trey streak to eight games. He also scored double figures for the eighth consecutive game.

Chicago (3-6) fell behind early 12-5, before rallying to take a 32-26 lead at the intermission.

Williams and Johnson then combined to score 16 of the Maroons' first 18 points of the second stanza as they increased their lead to 50-33 at the 14:57 mark. Chicago maintained a double-digit advantage the rest of the way.

Chicago shot 50% from the field and 46% from three-point range (11-24), while Loras shot just 39% from the floor, including a 1-for-15 effort from behind the arc.

Sam Gage contributed 10 points in 14 minutes off the bench for Chicago.

Dan Pawlewski led the Duhawks (2-8) with 17 points. Connor Mooney (11 points) and Tim Kelly (10) also netted double digits.
