NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich men's basketball team was victorious in their host tournament, the 14th Annual Ed Hockenbury Classic, as they defeated Colby-Sawyer College, 71-60 on Saturday afternoon in Andrews Hall.

The Cadets (3-2) had four players record double-digit points led by sophomore G Ryan Williams's 19.

Senior F Cori Boston added in 12 points and two assists, while making four defensive rebounds and one steal. Junior F Antonio Davis recorded seven boards for the Cadets, two assists and two steals, all while helping put 10 additional points on the scoreboard.

One rebound shy of a double-double, freshman C Pim Smulders made an impact in the championship round, collecting 11 points and nine boards. He recorded one assist and one steal and used his height to his advantage to record a team-best four blocks against the Chargers.

Robbie Burke had a double-double for Colby-Sawyer, notching 12 points and 13 boards. Classmate John Roberts also made an impact with 15 points and six rebounds.

Corey Willis netted 13 points for CMC while Will Bardaglio chipped in with 11 points.

There will be no rest for the Cadets as they host Western Connecticut State on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
