NEWBURGH, N.Y. – Sophomore Lenny Ragaglia (Staten Island, N.Y.) connected on 6-of-7 attempts from three-point range to lead Mount Saint Mary College to a 74-49 victory over Bard College in Skyline Conference action on Wednesday night. The Knights improved to 4-3 overall (3-1 Skyline), while the Raptors remained winless at 0-9 (0-4 Skyline).

After a slow start, Ragaglia sparked the Mount with a pair of three-pointers during an 8-2 run that sent the Knights to an 11-point advantage with 4:26 remaining in the first half. Trailing by 12, Bard sophomore Frank Stortini (Red Hook, N.Y.) banked home a three-pointer at the buzzer to make the half time score, 32-23.

The Knights opened the second half on a 21-2 run, thanks in large part to three consecutive triples from Ragaglia. Senior Chris Kingly (Washingtonville, N.Y.) and freshman Joe Stabach (Staten Island, N.Y.) connected on back-to-back threes to push the Mount to its biggest lead of the night, 28, with 12:39 to play.

Bard closed to within 19 following back-to-back three-pointers from senior Christian Marghella (Closter, N.J.) and sophomore Jeremy Arnstein (Washington, D.C.), but would get no closer. Mount freshman Steve Phillips (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) scored his first collegiate points, knocking down a pair of free throws, to make the final score, 74-49.

On top of Ragaglia's game-high 20, senior Tim Morris (Greenwich, N.Y.) added 12 points and four rebounds. Junior Kevin Milella (Floral Park, N.Y.) added eight points and seven boards.

Marghella and junior Yonah Greenstein (Rego Park, N.Y.) each scored 13 points for the Raptors. Bard shot just 36.7-percent for the game.

Up next for the Knights is a non-conference game with John Jay. Mount Saint Mary will host the Bloodhounds on Saturday, December 11 at 2:00 p.m.
