Marymount Men’s Basketball Drops CAC Contest to York

Arlington, Va. – Marymount University's men's basketball team fell 79-53 to visiting York (Pa.) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.  The Saints drop to 1-6 overall and 0-3 in league play.

Eleven different players scored for the Saints, led by nine points from freshman Keenan Brown.  Sophomore Karl Nelson and junior Andrew Somuah added eight and seven points off the bench, respectively.

Senior Bryan DeBruin paced the boards for MU with a game-high eight rebounds.  Freshmen Reed Scott and Brown both added five apiece.

Kevin Whaley led the Spartans (5-2, 2-0 CAC) with 18 points while Julian Watson had 14 and Mo Oursler and Jeremy Skoloda both chipped in 10.

Marymount returns to the hardwood on Wednesday, December 8, on the road at Salisbury in CAC action.  Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
