MONTGOMERY, Ala. ---- The Huntingdon College men's basketball team beat Millsaps College 71-43 on Sunday afternoon in Roland Arena. The Hawks took a 38-20 lead into half and never looked back, behind Ephriam Hudson's game-high 24 points.
In the second half, Huntingdon extended the lead to 31 points before the final 71-43 score. The Hawks outscored the Majors 33-23 in the second half securing the home-opener win.
Ephriam Hudson led the Hawks with a game-high 24 points, including 6-of-11 from the three-point line. Deshaun Williams and Adrian Williams added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Ten of Huntingdon's seventeen players recorded at least two points or more in the victory.
Millsaps (2-1) was paced by LV Sumler, who scored 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.
For the game, the Hawks held a 46-31 advantage on the glass. Huntingdon converted 42.1 percent of its shots, hitting 24-of-57, while the Majors finished 16-of-54 (29.6 percent).
Huntingdon (2-2) plays host to Oakwood on Thursday, Dec. 2. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in Roland Arena.
