OSHKOSH, Wis. -- Junior Oren Bloom knocked down a three-pointer as time expired as the MSOE men's basketball knocked off UW-Oshkosh 65-62 in the UW-Oshkosh Thanksgiving Classic Saturday afternoon. Senior Austin Meier made a steal with five seconds left then assisted on Bloom's game-winning basket.
The Raiders trailed 62-54 with 3:50 left in the game but scored the game's final 11 points to pull out the victory. Senior Bennett Deacon led MSOE with 14 points while Meier put in 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Junior Cynerick Osinaike contributed 11 points off the bench as he went 3-3 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line.
MSOE shot 50% from the field for the game and 42% from three-point range (8-19). The Raiders (5-0) will begin their NAC schedule Tuesday night against Benedictine at Kern Center. That game will begin at 7 p.m.
