ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Wesley's Paul Reynolds (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) and Darrell Johnson (New Castle, Del./Howard) combined for 43 points, but the Wolverines fell to North Carolina Wesleyan 71-62 at the Roger Taylor Invitational.

Both were named to the all-tournament team after the game.

Johnson played the entire game and poured in 23 points, while Reynolds hit 8-of-10 field goals on his way to 20 points.  Chris Douglas (Landover, Md./Jericho Prep Academy) scored 10 points, while Kyan Andrews (Seaford, Del./Woodbridge) tied Reynolds and Johnson for the team-high with six rebounds.

Wesley, however, could not stop the outside shooting of Cornelius Snow, who came off the bench to score 24 points on 6-of-9 from long distance.

The Wolverines scored the game's first seven points, but a 15-2 run by the Battling Bishops swung the momentum as a three by Snow gave North Carolina Wesleyan a 15-9 lead midway through the opening half.  The Battling Bishops eventually built the lead to double digits before a pair of Douglas free throws sent Wesley into the locker room trailing by nine, 28-19.

In the second half, North Carolina Wesleyan's lead surged as high as 13 before an 8-0 run clipped it to four after more free throws by Douglas.  But it was another three by Snow that halted the run with 10:33 left in the game.

Fellow reserve Devin Nichols scored 16 points, while Domarius Thomas was the only starter in double figures for North Carolina Wesleyan with 15.

While the Wolverines hit 13-of-16 free throws, the team shot just 41 percent from the field and managed only 3-of-19 from behind the arc.

The Battling Bishops hit 7-of-13 threes in the game as a team.

Wesley is back in action against York (N.Y.) at the CNU Invitational on November 26.
