WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Not bad for the second time out. The Lycoming College men's basketball team used a balanced effort to shoot 50 percent from the floor (37-for-74) and force 21 turnovers to score 25 points as it cruised to a 90-46 win over Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Lamade Gymnasium.

"I think out guys work hard," Lycoming head coach Guy Rancourt said. "I'm happy with the effort level they are giving. The team is doing a great job in giving us everything we have."

Twelve players figured into the scoring column and all 13 players on the squad posted a rebound as the Warriors (2-0 overall) whitewashed the glass to the tune of 58-26 over the Nittany Lions (0-2 overall). Three players finished in double figures, led by junior Mike Bradley (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep), who had 15 points, four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 15 minutes.

"He's huge," Rancourt said of Bradley. "He does a great job for us. The presence he has inside – he shoots for a high percentage and he's efficient not only from a shooting perspective, but also from what he does rebounding and defensively helping."

Sophomore Ihsaan Davis (Jamaica, N.Y./Christ the King) and senior Will Kelly (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) each added 10 points, with Davis also canning two 3-pointers. Kelly became the 40th player in school history to reach 750 career points during the night.

The Warriors opened the game on a 14-3 run led by seven points from Bradley, who posted a traditional three-point play to start the game. The Nittany Lions cut the lead to seven at 14-7, but the Warriors responded with 17 straight points, led by four points each from sophomore Jerald Williams (Riverdale, Md./Bladensburg) and freshman Justin Miller (Agawam, Mass./Bridgton Academy). The Nittany Lions got with 20 points once more, at 35-17 before the Warriors closed the half with a 14-7 run to take a 49-24 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Warriors kept the pressure on, opening the half with a steal by Bradley that turned into a fastbreak layup by Davis. Kelly nailed a 3-pointer on an assist from Bradley and then Kelly picked the ball and started a break that finished with the last of three athletic dunks by freshman Kevin Anthony (Atlanta, Ga./Bridgton Academy). The lead continued to grow, with a jumper from freshman Allen Kuiper (Milltown, N.Y./Spottswood) giving the team its largest of the game at 47 points, 88-41, with 1:34 left.

Williams just missed a double-double, notching nine points and 12 assists, one shy of his career high, in 18 minutes. Anthony finished with eight points and seven boards in 19 minutes and Miller added nine points, a career-high five blocks, and five rebounds.

With just one player playing more than 20 minutes, the team also got solid contributions from freshman Michael Rudy (Danville, Pa./Danville), who posted six points and 10 rebounds, senior Sebastian Sabella (Bayside, N.Y./Episcopal School), who notched eight points, eight rebounds and two trifectas, Kuiper, who notched eight points and four rebounds, and senior Ethan Lee (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area), who posted five points, four rebounds and two assists.

The Nittany Lions were led by 11 points and six rebounds from Mike Abramcheck and eight points, two assists and three steals from Leron Kosh. Casey Petty also added seven points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

The Warriors get back in action on Friday with the start of their Tip-Off Classic, as they face undefeated Penn State Wilkes-Barre (5-0 overall), which just turned away Division II Bloomsburg, 73-70. Tip-off for the game is slated for 6 p.m.
