Women's
Lauren Sansano
Sansano finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and six steals in the Bulldogs' dominant win over Ozarks. The 11 rebounds matched her career-high while the ten assists and six steals are new career-highs for the senior; it was also her first career triple double. Sansano averaged 18 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and four steals over three games this week, shooting 58% from the floor and 46% from three.
Sarah Hughes
Hughes shot 9-17 from the floor this week and 3-5 from three-point range, scoring 12 points each game and averaging five rebounds per contest. She dished out a game-high four assists against perennial power Amherst and only turned the ball over twice in a combined 60 minutes played against Amherst and Hamilton.
Josie Bruder
Bruder averaged 25 points over two games this week, shooting 47% from the field and 53% (9-17) from behind the 3pt line. She scored a personal-best 29 points against the University of St. Thomas before scoring 21 at United States Coast Guard Academy. Bruder also averaged six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks per game.
Natalie Gricius
Gricius dominated both sides of the ball as Carroll won two key conference games. She averaged 26 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 66% from the floor and hitting half her three pointers.
Mary Schleusner
Schleusner had another impressive week to help the Generals secure a pair of ODAC wins and remain unbeaten on the season. She averaged 29 points and 15 rebounds, with six assists, three blocks, and four steals on 62% shooting (24-39). Against Randolph, Schleusner scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting while grabbing 12 boards. She also dished out four assists, three steals, and one block. Then in a 69-52 win over No. 22 Shenandoah, she scored 36 points on 57% shooting (15-of-26) with 17 rebounds, two assist, two blocks, and one steal.
Men's
Shane Regan
Regan was impressive in Chicago's UAA opener against rival, travel partner, and No. 13 WashU. He had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists on 11-15 shooting, and was the driving force on offense for the Maroons. He also had zero turnovers despite having the ball in his hands for much of the game.
Tanner Tedesco
Tedesco averaged 21 points, six assists, and four rebounds per game as Union defeated both of last year's Liberty League Tournament finalists to keep the Garnet Chargers atop the conference standings. Tedesco tied for the game-high with 25 points to go with five rebounds and four assists in Friday's 76-59 win at RPI, then followed up with 16 points (on 6-of-10 shooting) and seven assists in Saturday's 81-73 comeback win at Ithaca.
Blake Schmitz
Schmitz carried the Royals to two conference wins this week, with 36 points on 12-of-15 shooting, 3-of-5 from three-point land, and 9-of-13 from the charity stripe in a 93-81 victory over Carleton on January 10. He also had five steals and four assists in the contest. Schmitz started the week with a 16-point performance in an 85-83 win over Saint Mary's.
Jason Reynolds
Reynolds had a huge week helping Farmington to three conference victories. He recorded a double-double in each game, averaging 22 points and 17 rebounds in wins over VTSU Lyndon, Johnson, and Maine Maritime. Reynolds shot 67% from the floor and hit 11 of 15 threes for 73% on the week.
Ethan Fauss
Fauss had a monster performance on Saturday as he led the No. 3 Emory Eagles to a 10th straight win, defeating Rochester 95-90 in the UAA opener. He set new career highs in both scoring and rebounding with 29 points and 16 rebounds while shooting 11-for-19 from the floor including a career-best five three pointers (5-for-8). Fauss added two assists and one block in the five-point win. He had no turnovers and shot 58% from the floor, 63% from three.
