Elmhurst has announced that Tethnie Carrillo has resigned from her position as head women's basketball coach.

"I want to thank Coach Carrillo for her 16 years of dedication to our student-athlete here at Elmhurst," athletic director Glen Brittich said. "Moving forward, Elmhurst University is committed to finding the best person to lead our women's basketball program."

A national search to find the next head coach of Elmhurst women's basketball will begin immediately.

The Bluejays won three games each of the past three seasons, including the COVID year of 2020-21.

Carrillo started as head coach in 2007-08 and compiled a 185-210 career record.
