Ripon tripped No. 4 UW-Oshkosh 83-80 in Wisconsin Dells to send the Titans into WIAC play with a loss. Meanwhile UW-Whitewater topped St. Norbert, Wittenberg stayed perfect and York (Pa.) won another thriller.

Ripon beat UW-Oshkosh in a see-saw battle that had 27 lead changes and 13 ties. Oshkosh (10-1) looked like it might escape with a win when Ben Boots made two free throws to give the Titans a 75-74 lead with 64 seconds left. Ripon (5-4) answered with a three-pointer from Seth Kostroski with 49 seconds left and then forced a turnover by Boots on the Titans' ensuing possession. Kostroski and Isaac Masters went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the final 30 seconds to secure the Red Hawks' victory. Recap
Cal Schultz scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Ripon. Boots scored 25 points for UW-Oshkosh which opens conference play againt No. 11 UW-Whitewater on Wednesday. Speaking of the Warhawks, they defeated St. Norbert 89-78 at the Green Knights' holiday tournament. UW-Whitewater (10-1) shot 64 percent and made 10 three-pointers in the first half.
The final game of the D3hoops.com Classic provided the game of the day as No. 1 Whitman rallied to beat No. 14 Ohio Wesleyan 92-90. The Battling Bishops built an 11-point halftime lead thanks to 12 three-pointers in the first half, but the Blues' pressure defense eventually wore Ohio Wesleyan down. Joey Hewitt tallied 23 points, nine rebounds and five steals for the Blues (10-0). Nate Axelrod finished a rebound shy of a triple double (24 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds) for Ohio Wesleyan (9-1). Box score
Wittenberg put an exclamation point on a perfect start to the season by beating Top 25 mainstay Marietta, 83-70. The Tigers (11-0) held the Pioneers to two points over an 11-minute stretch in the second half and rebounded them by 14. No. 19 Marietta slips to 8-3 with the loss.
A day after beating No. 2 Middlebury in an overtime thriller, No. 25 York (Pa.) played another nailbiter against Washington and Lee. The Spartans (11-0) rallied from an 18-point deficit and beat the Generals 118-110 in overtime, thanks to a 44-point, 19-rebound performance by Blayde Reich. Roy McMillan notched a double-double (35 points, 12 rebounds) for the Generals.
The list of undefeated teams left in Division III shrunk on Saturday night when Wooster defeated Emory and Henry, 77-68. Spencer Williams scored 25 points for the Fighting Scots (9-3) who play Ohio Wesleyan next Saturday. Nebraska Wesleyan stayed on the unbeaten list with a 121-103 win over fellow run-and-gunner Grinnell. Jack Hiller had 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Prairie Wolves (11-0).
Alex Sorenson set a new school single-game scoring record with 54 points as North Central (Ill.) blitzed Robert Morris-Chicago 117-72. Kyle Roach scored 21 of his 25 points in the second half to help Whitworth pull away from Calvin, 88-58. Marcus Curry's basket was the game winner for Guilford in an 80-77 win over No. 18 Skidmore.
The Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon got a lift from fittingly named freshman Buzz Anthony who scored nine points in the final two minutes of a 59-57 win over Hobart. Christopher Newport held Johns Hopkins to 44 points improved to 9-2 with a 54-44 victory in the finale of its holiday tournament.

There will likely be a new No. 1 when the D3hoops.com women's basketball Top 25 is released on Tuesday, and No. 4 Wartburg made a strong case for consideration with a 66-55 win over No. 11 UW-Whitewater.
Miranda Murphy scored all of Wartburg's points in a decisive 12-1 fourth quarter run. The Warhawks (10-1) led 48-47 early in the final period before Murphy hit a three pointer to give the Knights (11-0) the lead for good. Wartburg outrebounded UW-Whitewater 45-28 as Katie Sommer grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with 11 points and six assists. Box score
Less than 24 hours after Albright stunned top-ranked Tufts on Friday night, both teams showed that momentum wouldn't carry through to Saturday. Albright watched a 12-point lead wither against Montclair State's pressing defense and Katie Sire scored 27 points in the Red Hawks' 74-61 win. Tufts held DeSales to 22 points in the final three quarters of an 82-41 Jumobs victory.
Montclair State, which sits just outside the Top 25 rankings, could be poised to re-enter them following its win and a loss by No. 24 Marymount. Catholic slogged past the Saints 56-44 in a game where the teams combined for 56 turnovers and 6-for-36 three-point shooting.
Bluffton scored the first four points in its matchup with No. 7 Hope, but the Flying Dutch scored seven of the next nine to take the lead for good. Madison Geers led Hope (12-0) with 19 points in the Flying Dutch's 72-63 win.
Kenyon head coach Suzanne Helfant won her 400th game as the Ladies beat Capital 65-47 in the Crusaders' holiday tournament. Helfant has 366 wins at Kenyon and 34 at Marietta. Paige Matijasich scored 18 points for Kenyon which improved to 11-2.
