Hope, Elizabethtown and SUNYIT entered holiday break with impressive wins while Trinity (Texas) may be entering the Top 25 rankings.

No. 7 Hope won its Post Exam Jam tournament by holding off No. 23 UW-Stevens Point, 56-50. The Flying Dutch shot 28 percent (19-for-68) and were outrebounded by 21, but converted 24 Pointer turnovers into 26 points.
"We pride ourselves on defense in this program," said Hope's Mandy Traversa, who was named the tournament most valuable player. "When the shots aren't falling, we have to pick it up on the defensive end. We won this game because of defense." Recap
Trinity (Texas) made a persuasive case for entering the Top 25 rankings with a 68-65 over No. 18 Puget Sound. Micah Weaver came off the Tigers' bench to score 19 points in 30 minutes. Monica Holquin added 15 points for Trinity (8-0), which plays Pacific Lutheran on Sunday. Box score
Augustana defeated Central 81-59 to up its mark to 9-0. Kaycee Kallenberger paced the Vikings' balanced attack with 13 points in 23 minutes. Augustana will host No. 16 UW-Whitewater in a battle of undefeated teams on Tuesday night.
No. 3 Scranton shook off a slow start and defeated Washington and Lee, 69-54. The Royals trailed 13-6 after one period but took the lead early in the second quarter and eventually pulled away for their ninth win. Bridgette Mann led the way with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists. Box score
Jessica Daguilh scored a career-high 20 points and No. 10 Christopher Newport fought past Salisbury 75-66. The Captains (10-0, 4-0) remain tied for first in the CAC with No. 14 Mary Washington, which picked up a non-conference win over Emory and Henry, 60-38.
A couple teams outside the Top 25 quietly finished impressive first semesters. Elizabethtown took down Centennial Conference favorite Muhlenberg 57-49. Emily Martin filled the stat sheet with 24 points, 23 rebounds, five assists and three blocks for the Blue Jays (8-1). Box score
SUNYIT improved to 8-0 with a 68-64 victory over former conference foe Cortland. Stevie Ray scored 11 of her 30 points in the final seven minutes to lift the Wildcats to victory. Box score
