Franklin has hired former DePauw player and assistant Dana Haggenjos as women’s basketball coach. She helped the Tigers to a 270-34 record as an assistant coach from 2004-06 and 2007-14, including the 2012-13 Division III national championship.

Haggenjos replaced Jennifer Lodge Temple, who was ousted from her position after two years. An academic dean said Temple, who is also an instructor, was on maternity leave. Kerry Prather, the school's athletic director, said "there is not" any explanation of her job status as a coach.

Haggenjos earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from DePauw in 2003, and received a master’s degree in recreation and sports management from Indiana State in 2006. She is a member of the WBCA.

Franklin is coming a 14-13 season and has reached the 20-win plateau in two of the past three seasons.
