Richards |
Stasha Richards has announced her resignation as the head women’s basketball coach at UT-Tyler effective May 31, 2012.
Richards, a former Division I standout for Baylor, has chosen to pursue other career opportunities.
“We are thankful to Coach Richards for her hard work and leadership these last three seasons, and we wish her great success in the future,” Vice President for Auxiliary Services and Intercollegiate Athletics Howard Patterson said.
Richards has served as the head coach at UT Tyler since 2009. In her three seasons at the helm, the Patriots were a combined 33-42, including a 12-13 record this past season.
A search for her replacement will begin immediately.
Assistant coach Cassie Little will assume interim head coach duties until a successor is named. She was also named interim head coach in 2009, when Terri Deike was let go after six seasons.
