Texas-Dallas rallied from 14 points down to defeat UT-Arlington 78-76 on Saturday afternoon. It's Division III's first victory against a Division I school this season. Texas-Dallas remained undefeated, improving to 11-0, while Arlington fell to 4-7.
Backup guard Brandon Greene scored all of his points in the final 7:22, including a layup with 39 seconds left to give Texas-Dallas the lead for good. The Comets, who got 19 points from Scott Rodgers and Martin Salinas, finished the game on a 26-10 run.
Texas-Arlington accounts for one of the other D-III wins in recent years, falling to McMurry 80-76 in November 1998. Division III's last win against a Division I team came last season, when Carnegie Mellon beat Princeton 51-46.
Greg Badenhop had 26 points, including five three-pointers, and Bart Hostetler and Kyle Gehle added 13 apiece as No. 7 Ohio Northern held off UW-La Crosse 73-70. No. 1 Wooster had little trouble with Calvin in the consolation game of its Mose Hole tournament.
No. 5 UW-Stevens Point edged No. 9 Augustana 71-68 in a game delayed twice by fire alarms and evacuations. Hamilton knocked off No. 22 DePauw 85-77 in overtime.

In women's action, No. 5 DePauw scored a victory for Division III as Liz Bondi scored 19 and Cassie Pruzin added 15 in a win at Point Loma Nazarene, ranked No. 15 in NAIA Division I. Oglethorpe knocked off No. 18 Illinois Wesleyan 81-75. No. 14 Simpson edged No. 21 Medaille 85-82, Medaille's second consecutive narrow loss to a Top 15 team. Amanda Baker scored 25 for the Mavericks in a losing cause.
Gena Brown scored 16 points as No. 24 NYU rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat Stevens 78-70.
But at least all these games got played. UW-Oshkosh was planning to fly through Denver en route to Pacific Lutheran's tournament, but couldn't make the trip because of weather.
Rutgers-Newark won its ninth consecutive game, beating Hunter 67-65. Ben Strong scored 41 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as Guilford beat Methodist 108-102 in double overtime.
