Katie Burton had put the Warhawks in front with a tip-in with six seconds left, but Thomas got behind the defense on the inbound pass and was fouled going in for a layup. She made both free throws to give the Polar Bears the lead.
On UW-Whitewater's final possession, the Warhawks settled for a 60-foot shot that fell short.
Jordan Kimes scored a game-high 20 points and added seven rebounds for ONU. She was named to the All-Tournament team. Full story.
