1984 Division III men's basketball tournament

UW-Whitewater set a Division III championship game record for scoring, defeating Clark 103-86 to win the 1984 Division III men's basketball national championship. It was the second consecutive Final Four appearance for the Warhawks, who fell in the national semifinals the previous season. The Warhawks survived a triple-overtime contest in the second round, just as Scranton had the year before, defeating St. Norbert 87-84.
