Lehman Struggles in Loss to Baruch

NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Lehman College women's basketball team fell to Baruch, 86-47, in CUNY Athletic Conference action, on Thursday evening. The Lightning fall to 8-5 in CUNYAC play, while the Bearcats remain undefeated in the conference at 12-0. 

Baruch led from wire-to-wire, as the Lightning could not execute a run to make the game close. Lehman struggled from the field, only shooting 30 percent for the game. 

Junior forward Karrin Walker (New York, N.Y./Richard R. Green) tallied a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. She shot 50 percent from the field, forced two steals, and had two assists. Classmate Amani Lightbourne (Elmsford, N.Y./Alexander Hamilton) produced 10 points, with two assists, and two steals.  

The Lightning will return to the APEX Main Gym on Tuesday, for a CUNY Athletic Conference matchup against Hunter College, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
