GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd Mercy won their third game in a row defeating Centenary, 86-44, Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Junior Natasha Matthews led all scorers with a game-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Kelsey Yori added 16 with her hot hand as the junior connected on four three pointers and freshman Charlotte Kucowski  rounded out the scoring, chipping in 12 points off of the bench.

The Griffins (10-10, 7-4 CSAC) came out early, taking a commanding 13-point lead (17-4) on a Jackie Crowley (Philadelphia, Pa. / Neumann-Goretti) layup.  GM would continue to stretch their lead when Kucowski connected on a layup to put Gwynedd up 31-10 with 6:30 remaining in the half.  Yori would give GM their largest lead of the half when she connected on a long ball with under ten seconds remaining in the stanza to give the Griffins a 42-20 lead heading into the break.

C.J. Hilliard would keep things rolling in the second half as the sophomore connected on a three ball to put Gwynedd up 60-30 with just over 14 minutes remaining in regulation. 

The Griffins shot 50.0% (33-of-66) from the floor and connected on a season-high 14 three pointers to cruise to the victory.

Gwynedd dished out a season-high 28 assists as a team. Jordan Dominic led GM with a team-high eight while adding nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc. The distribution also allowed eleven different Griffins to reach the scoring column.

GM also won the battle of the boards out-rebounding Centenary, 40-28.  Senior Lauren Smith  led the Griffins with a team high five. 

Klarissa Perry led the Cyclones (7-12, 5-5 CSAC) with a team-high 14 points and Mallory George chipped in 12.
