Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated Brooklyn College on the road today, 76-57, improving to 6-2 overall. The Bulldogs fall to 6-3 overall.

The Roadrunners jumped out to a nine point lead, 10-1 on a layup by Alex Milne with 15:47 on the clock before Brooklyn cut the lead to seven, 16-9 (10:42). The Roadrunners scored a jumper and two foul shots to go up by 11 points, 20-9 before Brooklyn cut the lead to six, 22-16 (6:22). Kelly Haspel then scored a layup and three pointer back to back to stretch the lead back to 11, 27-16 with 4:49 left in the first half. Ramapo closed the half with a 7-1 run to take a 34-17 lead into the locker room.

In the second half the Bulldogs came within 11, 38-27 with 15:48 left in the game before the Roadrunners took a 20 point lead, 54-34 as Haspel made a lay up with 11:31 on the clock. Ramapo, who never trailed in the game, took their biggest lead with 4:29 left in the half, 69-44 on a made jumper by Alayna Donadio. The Bulldogs hit three straight three pointers and a lay up to come within 15, 72-57 with 2:34 before Ramapo scored the final four points of the game for the 76-57 win.

Ramapo shot 48% from the field and 75% from the charity stripe (15-20) while they grabbed 43 rebounds. Haspel led the Roadrunners with 18 points, as she was 3-4 from behind the three point line while she grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists. Micaela Moore and Ryan each scored ten points while Ryan grabbed nine rebounds and Moore posted four. Ryan was also 4-6 from the foul like and dished while Faith Flannery scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds and two assists. Jackie Jerkovich dished out a team high six assists .

Ramapo will return to action on December 14th when they travel to York College for a 6:00pm game.
