Rob Kurzinsky, who led the Kean University men's basketball program for 11 seasons, has stepped down from his position as head coach.

He will remain as the university's strength and conditioning coordinator. The school confirmed the move through a spokesperson via email on Friday.

Kurzinsky went 96-188 in 11 seasons at Kean. The Cougars' best season under Kurzinsky came in 2010-11 when the Cougars finished atop the NJAC's southern division with an 18-8 record, earning him NJAC Coach of the Year honors.

Kurzinsky took over the program in 2007-08 after working as the assistant men's basketball coach and recruiting coordinator at Division I St. Peter's. Previous stops included a year as director of operations at Division I Columbia, five seasons as the head men's basketball coach at Rockland (N.Y.) Community College and a stint as head women's basketball coach at Bucks County (Pa.) Community College.

Kean finished 7-18, 5-13 last season.

The Cougars open the 2018-19 season at Neumann on Nov. 8.
