Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (2/10/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (8-15, 1-8) played host to the number one seed in the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Marymount University (18-5, 8-0). Ultimately the Griffins could not keep pace with the Saints as the team suffered a 62-37 loss however, a bright spot in today's contest was senior guards Lynzie Eggers (Washington Township, N.J,), Ava Casale (Washington Township, N.J,), Gabby Marinacci (Collegeville, Pa.), and senior forwards Natalie O'Neill (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Sydney Kesselman (Philadelphia, Pa.) were honored in an exuberant Senior Day ceremony. 

Griffin Highlights: 

• Gwynedd Mercy struggled offensively all day as the team committed 15 turnovers and shot 11-of-55 (20%) from the floor and 2-of-9 (11%) from beyond the arc.
• Eggers was presented with her 1,000-point balls during the Senior Day festivities when she broke 1,000 career points on December 6th, 2023, against Albright College (W, 69-63).
• Eggers was the only Griffin to finish with double-digit points (10) along with five rebounds and an assist. 

 Gwynedd Mercy University will play its final AEC contest on Wednesday, February 13th, when the Griffins travel to Marywood University for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.
