The Wolves played close to the Highlanders early on Thursday. Sydney Brown drained a three on her first shot for the quick 3-2 lead. A jumper by Caiden Crego (Lyons, N.Y. / Lyons) tied the game at five. Houghton took the lead, but Keuka kept it close, trailing 12-9 after the first.

The hosts started to create separation in the second quarter. The Highlanders opened on a 7-0 run to push the lead to ten. Sophia Babcock (Oswego, N.Y. / Oswego) drove the lane for a basket and was fouled for a three-point play to snap the run midway through the first. However, Houghton would keep attacking. Houghton outscored Keuka College 22-8 in the frame to lead 34-17 at the half.

Houghton continued to extend their lead in the third. The frame was a big one for Katie Deatherage. She collected more than her season average in the third quarter alone grabbing eight rebounds in the frame. Houghton outscored Keuka 20-11 to remain ahead going into the fourth quarter.

Houghton opened the fourth pushing their lead to 31 points, but Keuka responded with a 10-0 run. Sydney Brown was key during the span scoring eight of the ten points. That cut the lead down to 21, but it would be as close as Keuka could get it. Houghton saw the game out for the 66-43 victory.
