Overtime Nailbiter Ends In Griffin Loss to AEC Rival, Cyclones

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (1/10/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (7-9, 0-2) looked to snap their four-game losing streak as they hosted the number on team in the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Centenary University (N.J) (13-3, 2-0). This game would take more than 40 minutes to decide an outcome, but ultimately would not be able to overcome the Cyclones storm and would fall in overtime 85-77. Senior guard Gabby Marinacci (Collegeville, Pa.) would have a career night for the red and gold finishing with career-highs in minutes (40), points (18) and field goals made (7). Marinacci finished the game 7-of-10 (70%) from the floor and 2-of-4 (50%) from beyond the arc. She also accumulated a rebound, three steals, and a game-high five assists.
